Comfortex produces many foam encapsulated pocket sprung mattresses to many high street names throughout the uk, usually with a memory foam top layer and sometimes with a natural latex top layer, many are supplied vacuum roll packed for ease of storage and handling.

Pocket Springs work differently to traditional sprung mattresses as each spring works independently from each other.

Pocket-sprung mattresses are more luxurious, with up to 3,000+ individual small springs housed in separate fabric pockets.

Pros

The springs move independently to support your body. ‘They come in a choice of tensions – soft, medium or firm, this means good support whatever your weight.

Cons

Dependent on the spring count which denotes the weight of the spring unit, pocket-sprung mattresses can be heavy to turn. They are also more expensive than traditional spring units.

Best for

The separate springs make them ideal for two people of different weights as each pocketed spring works individually. Also available with two sides of a different firmness. and can be manufactures with different firmness’s along the length of the mattress to create a “zoned” surface.
